On Monday, Feb. 27, school administrators at the high school were made aware that a student had allegedly inappropriately touched two female classmates earlier this year following an investigation into a similar case reported early last week.

According to a Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, in the latest incident, the student groped a student in a stairwell of the school.

After being advised of the assaults, school staff members and the School Resource Officer assigned to Westlake High School launched an investigation, and the Charles County State’s Attorney has been contacted regarding criminal charges.

No information about the student was released by investigators.

Anyone with information regarding the student, or who may have been touched or assaulted in an inappropriate manner has been instructed to alert a school staff member, or PFC Joffe at the Charles County Sheriff’s Office by calling (301) 609-3282 ext. 0608.
